MALAYSIAN SKILLS CERTIFICATE IN INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION (MC-091-2:2013 & MC-091-3:2013)

Introduction

Manufacturing technicians decide how a product is to be manufactured, types of machines to be used, the kinds of materials required, the sequence of production and methods. Graduates of this course will be able to develop the manufacturing procedures of parts produced by machine/machinery processes, presswork methods, and plastic technology, and subsequently assemble these parts into a product.

Admission Requirements (Minimum Qualification)

  • 15-45 years old
  • Able to speak and write in Malay or English
  • Posses a lower level of Malaysian Skills Certificate to apply for a higher level MSC in the same field / area.
  • (Level 2) SPM/SPMV/’O’ Level or equivalent, or 
  • (Level 3) Completed Level 2 (MC-091-2:2013)

Pre-Requisites

  • The pre-requisite for Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Industrial Automation Engineering Support Service Level 2 programme is the ability to read, write and basic arithmetic
  • The pre-requisite for Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Industrial Automation Engineering Supervision Level 3 programme is SKM Industrial Automation Engineering Support Service level 2

Duties

Safety Rules & Regulations, Engineering drawing/blue print, Hydraulic & Electro-Hydraulic Systems, Pneumatic & Electro-Pneumatic Systems, Electrical Servo Systems, and PLC Program of Industrial Automation Systems.

Duration

1 ½ years (Level 2: 6 months)
(Level 3: 12 months)
