Institut Teknologi Perak was established in 1997 with the support of the Perak Government to enable students to further train in electronic and electrical technology, information technology and business management studies.

Over the years, institutions of higher learning and professional bodies, both within and outside Malaysia have awarded the institution with frachises to run their academic and training programmes. Academic and training programmes offered by ITP range from learning basic competency skills to acquiring certificates and diplomas. We cater to the needs of SPM/STPM holders as well as mature workers with working experience who wish to increase their knowledge and upgrade skills in their areas of expertise. All programmes are geared towards producing quality manpower for national development.
